I: Required Materials

5 subject notebook with a folder or a large 3 ring binder with loose leaf DESIGNATED

ONLY FOR FORENSICS WORK o Notebooks will be collected and checked randomly

Pencil case with at least 2 pencils and 2 pens

3 ring hole puncher to fit in your binders or notebooks

II: Responsibilities

Come to class on time and prepared to work. All students should be seated and ready to begin their do now by the late bell

1 point for class participation will be lost for each day unprepared

Bring your materials to class EVERY DAY

Be respectful to your teacher and classmates

Take accurate class notes

Complete ALL homework assignments and laboratory reports ON TIME

Make up all missing work due to absence

Report to Extra help when needed

III:Grading: Grades will be calculated based on total points

1. Homework

Homework will be assigned at least 4 nights per week and posted on the board

Homework includes reading, written assignments, and studying and MUST be completed by the due date.

Homework is to INCLUDE A PROPER HEADING & be written on loose-leaf paper or typed

Homework Policy: 10 completed homework assignments in a row will lead to a 1 homework free pass.

3 missing homework assignments will lead to detention

Homework will not be accepted late unless a student is absent (see ABSENCE). When a student is absent, he/she is responsible for finding out what work was missed, and for making up the work within the time specified by the teacher.

2. Quizzes

At least one quiz or test will be given each week may consist of Do Nows or homework assignments

May be announced or unannounced

3.In Class Participation

Laboratory Reports will be performed in class

Preparation EVERY DAY which means having your forensics notebook or binder and a writing utencil

Random assessment questions will be asked and collected

Calling out, talking out of turn and lateness will deduct points from this grade

4. Exams

Each chapter will end with an exam

5. Projects

All projects will be research and/or internet based some will require a short presentation

Projects are due on the date assigned LATENESS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED

IV. ABSENCE

All work missed due to absence MUST be made up. If a student is absent, he/she should find out what the missing work was

ASK THE TEACHER WHAT DATE THE WORK SHOULD BE MADE UP BY .

Students who are absent from class will be given one day for each absent day to make up missed work

FAILURE TO MAKE UP MISSED WORK WILL RESULT IN A LOWERED OR

FAILING GRADE.
