Classroom Rules:
 Students should follow all school rules. (No hats, no cell phones, no I–pods etc.)
 Courteous and respectful behavior is to be maintained at all times.
 Students should be in class on time and be ready to work when the bell rings.
 Participation is necessary. Please be sure to raise your hand and wait to be recognized before
asking or answering questions.
 Cell phones must be turned off and may not be used in class at any time.
The student must bring the following to class each day:
 Regular Math 8 Binder with separate section for AIS
 Graph Paper.
 Scientific Calculator
 Pens, Pencils and Straightedge
Homework:
 Homework will not be assigned in Math 8 AIS. It will be assigned by the student’s Math 8 teacher.
Grading Policy: A grade of either S or U will be given on the report card based on the following criteria:
S: Satisfactory: Student follows the rules listed above and participates in class instruction which is
based on their regular Math 8 class instruction
U: Unsatisfactory: Student does not follow rules listed above, does not participate in class
Instruction and does not come to class prepared.
