I’m Daisy and I’m studying in the School of Modern Languages & Cultures for a MA in Middle Eastern Studies. As a postgraduate, you tend to spend quite a lot of time in the library, so its lucky that we have really good library facilities at Nottingham.
The y’re split into different library sites are according to subject area, so they are really easy to use and they’ve got really great IT facilities in them.
They ’ve got things like group study rooms that are really useful if you are preparing presentations or something like that, and then silent study areas with sort of single computers something like that which is really great if you want to get your head down.
They also got laptops you can hire out just for a day when using the library, and everything got wifi-enabled within the library as well.
And they
’re also putting a lot of the most popular books online, as e-books and all the journals are online too, so that makes it easy to access all the (most) popular books or those on reading lists or something like that. And also there is a great coffee shop if you want a break too, so that’s always a bonus!
