Children – Our Purpose & Our Future
Policy for Teaching Placement Elementary department
A- Purpose of Practice Teaching:
We ought to offer our trainee teachers the best exposure to teaching life in a school. By the end of the
academic training year, the trainee teacher should earn the title of “Newly Qualified Teacher Status”.
The Trainee Teacher will be able to see and experience all aspects of teaching. The TT will be able to
apply the theories learned at University. This chance gives the TT a full idea of the upsides and
downsides of teaching. Training is crucial for TT because they “learn on the ground.”
This is an opportunity for them to make mistakes, assess their strengths and weaknesses in teaching and
work on improving the skills they lack of. TT will then master the points below:
-Professional values and practice with students, staff, and parents
-Brush up on their knowledge of the subject they teach and the understanding of the curriculum
-Plan and set targets for different students
-Monitor students and assess them efficiently
-Deliver efficient lessons and manage their classrooms.
B- Student Interaction and Teaching

-TTs are to follow the school policy (dress code, discipline code, confidentiality and professionalism of
the school for example: No I shirts, No sandals, TTs sign in and out, don’t discuss students’ matters in the
staff room etc.)
-The TT is considered one of the staff members and should be welcomed warmly in our school.

their professional growth.
