Citizens Participation University Hungary, Civil College Foundation - Kunszentmiklós-Kunbábony 21-24 July 2010 General information Venue The event will be organized in the residential training centre of the Civil College Foundation in KunszentmiklósKunbábony, 76 kms South of Budapest. Those, who has different connections and must come earlier or leave later, we suggest staying in a Hotel Papillon in Budapest: http://www.hotelpapillon.hu/index.php?lang=en&target=hotel . You should organize booking as soon as possible. For late departures the Civil College also can be used for accommodation. Those, who will arrive by car, please check the location above or contact me (matev@kkapcsolat.hu) - We will organize your travel from Budapest to the College (and back to Bp.), which takes about 75 minutes, but that will require quite a lot logistic work so please try to send your travel details asap. Accommodation The College is a community-like place, it has 24 beds in 3-4 bedded rooms each with bathrooms (we have two smaller rooms: single and 2-bedded with bathrooms). At summer events like that, participants usually stay in tents in the park around the College. Bathroom opportunity will be provided for them as well! Those who would like to have single or max. 2-bedded rooms, we can provide accommodation outside (that will have some extra costs), in the area around the College (at a local inn in Kunszentmiklós or at nearby homesteads. We must survey the need of people. Those who will choose accommodation outside from the College, must travel to and from the College every day, transport will be solved by us. Meals We can provide normal and vegetarian food, please indicate your preference in the Registration form. Technical equipments The College is equipped with all the necessary equipments: computer, wireless internet-access, projector, flipchart, music-box, etc. Finances Thanks to a Mott Foundation support and other grants that CEE CN got in cooperation with CCF and CEBSD as well as with support of Balkan Trust for Democracy we can cover travels and subsistence costs for one participant from each of CEE CN and CEBSD member organization. You are welcome to send more people from your organizations at your own expenses – see the info of costs at Civil College in the attached document. After and before the meeting Those who would like to stay on in Budapest, or arrive earlier, we can help with providing hotel and travel information in Budapest (if you want something different from Hotel Papillon). . “Working hours” The CPU will operate with lectures and workshops. Each day will have a thematic focus that will lead the morning and afternoon lectures, as well as the following workshops. There will be 3-4 workshops two times each day, the participants will be asked to choose and contribute one of them each time. At the end of the working days, the conclusions will be reached together in plenary sessions. The organizers will collect the conclusions, as well as the important points for the evaluation and good ideas for future planning.
