4/17- Room 213: ACT Aspire prompt practice, what is your plan of attack? *Source one note cards will graded for MLA format.
4/ 20- ACT MC Practice/ Create introduction for argument essay rough draft (please follow outline)
4/21- ACT MC Practice/ Introduction should be finished by end of class and will be checked.
4/22- Word Choice and transition words, Level 3 Test Review
4/23- Rewrite introduction using new vocabulary and different transition words, and then start on second paragraph of essay (your first point of your argument). *Source 2 note cards will be checked and Study for Level 3 Test
4/24- Level 3 Test/ Continue to work on your paper by following argument essay outline
4/27- ACT Aspire Boot Camp Day! Get enough sleep and sharpen your pencils.
4/28- ACT Aspire- 30 minutes to write prompt and 45 minutes to answer 35 MC questions (you will be in your homeroom to take test)
4/29- English ACT Aspire- adjusted schedule/ Work on argument essay
4/ 30- Argument Essay Checkpoint (Are you on your counterclaim yet? Do you have in text citations for ALL evidence? Are you using punctuation correctly when quoting an article?)
5/1- Complete Conclusion and start revising for rough draft for content (organization, development, and voice). Edit your rough draft over the weekend.
5/ 4- Level 4 Notes/ Fishbowl conference for peer review
5/5- Level 4 Notes/ Fishbowl conference for peer review
5/6- Meet in Lab 317 to type final draft (must have a clean copy of rough draft to type paper)!
