Strategy – Scanning
Ve al mapa interactivo* (I’ll put the link on the website as well) de Mendoza. On the top
of the map is a list of the three sections of the city featured in the map [Parque, Centro,
y Sector Norte], as well as a button to zoom out. As you scroll your mouse over various
locations on the map, the name of the location will appear. The map includes orange
buttons to click on to receive more information about some of the locations.
1. Haz clic en el sección "Parque." Haz clic en el estadio. ¿Cómo se llama?
2. Haz clic en el lago. ¿Cómo se llama?
3. ¿Qué otros atracciones hay en esta zona? Márcalas con una "X."

Aplicación
A. You are going to put a map of your own community in Spanish. Following the model of
the Mendoza map, choose which important sites you will include. Do the following for
the prototype:
1. Sketch the map on a piece of paper. If it helps, use the map below.
2. Start with five important places you want to number on the map. Number them and
place them on the map.
3. Now, you will need to draw a picture. Similar to what you have below. (you will not be
graded on your artistic skills, however I need to see that you put forth some effort)
4. Last, write down 2 directions in Spanish (Use google maps):
Ex.. Target to TL Hanna.  at the stop light turn continue straight, pass Staples and
continue straight for 0.5 miles. At the stop sign turn right,
then at the stop sign turn left on East West Park Way;
go straight for approximately 3 miles, pass 2 stop lights.
Turn left at the third stop light on Highway 81 and go
straight for about a mile, TL Hanna is on your right hand
side. (queda en tu mano derecho)
