EXPECTATIONS
All






students are expected to:
Attend regularly.
Bring all required materials to class.
Participate in lessons.
Complete all work in a neat organized
manner.
Follow classroom rules.
Be positive, cooperative, and polite.
 Absences – Students are responsible for
making up all work missed during an absence.
A missed evaluation will normally be due or
completed on the day of the student’s return
to school.
If an assignment is late, 10% may be deducted per school day, up to a
maximum of 50%. Once assignments have been returned to students,
any late submissions may receive a mark of zero.
 Homework – In order to be successful in this
course, it is expected that students will do all
of the homework assigned by the teacher. If a
student encounters difficulty, it is expected
that he or she will seek help from his or her
teacher. By making effective use of class time,
students can significantly reduce the time
required to do homework.

Work Consistently
This course, more than
any previous math you’ve
taken, is cumulative.
This means the material
you learn will continue be
used as the term goes on.
Stay on track!

Do the homework!
Failure to do homework
causes more poor test
results than anything else.
Remember to always
check your answers!
Avoid careless mistakes.
Spotting common algebraic mistakes and learning to
work in a neat and organized manner, could save you
10-15% over the course!

Also, take your time on tests and quizzes – there are no
bonus
marks for&finishing
early!
