9:40 to 10:15 – Team work – Groups break down into small work groups for discussions on Last month’s items, Social Media Guidelines, and Acceptable Use Policy to make edits/additions.

Campus IT Updates
Disaster Recovery Planning- DRP is continue to move forward . We will be presenting for EDUCAUSE in
Portland regarding Disaster Recovery Planning.
Groupware Task Force – In desperate need of a new system. Email system is in need of repair/updating.
Task Force is hoping to have products to bring in Feb/March to look at. Looking into training for the new products and those who want it. (?)
Security Awareness Training – Put out 2 weeks ago. People are slowly logging in and taking the training.
Kan Ed/ Kan REN –

Technology Roundtable Update – Had a meeting this fall, broke down into groups. Creating IT standards was a topic on the table. Standards and policies were also mentioned
Project Management - Barbara Herbert has been going through training the last month. Hoping to have the projects that are being worked on and timelines available at some point
Virtual Desktop Trial at KTC- In the discussion stages regarding setting up virtual machines. Mike Smith is heading this up. Students can log in to use software through their Macs/PC’s/Laptops.
LMS – in contract stages with Canvas.
Web Page – Mike brought up the issues with the web page being slow. Michael Fienen is in the process of upgrading and working out issues.
