Club Purpose: The purpose of the club is to have fun while playing
cards.
Knits & Crafts Club
Club Coordinator: Richell Chiu-Ya
Club Purpose: A club for students to get together and learn creative
projects such as knitting, crochet, scrapbooking , and other art and crafts projects; for
recreation, personal fulfillment, creative expression, relaxation, and to reach out to campus
community through crafts sales/fundraisers and craft workshops.
PCC BAMZA Zoo Science Club
Club Coordinator: Marie Bello
Club Purpose: To expand the horizons of PCC BAMZA students by exploring other animal
care facilities, cultivating zoological knowledge, and promoting conservation efforts.

Community Service Project Proposal:
Veterans Club
Club Coordinator: Chris Mann
Service Description: Our club has committed to helping feed the homeless in hopes to find
veterans in need of resources. In addition we are volunteering our time at various veteran
shelters. These services were provided at St. Michaels, Manna Ministries with New Song
Church and Portland City Concern.
Goals:
 Locate veterans in need of resources.
 Make a presence in the public as Veterans of Rock Creek willing to make a difference
 Find areas of need and help fulfill those needs. I.e. shoes, socks, coats, and blankets.

Service Date: Multiple dates (once a week project)
Community Service Project Report:
Landscape Club
Club Coordinator: Richell Chiu
Service Description: The service intakes plant propagation and care in preparation for
Landscape’s Department and Landscape’s Club Spring Plant Sale in May. Proceeds from the
sale with benefit the PCC Foundation Scholarship. It will also be a time to fundraise for
Landscape Club’s future activities.

The Kitty Hawks
Club Coordinator: Cassia Hardesty
Service Description: We volunteered with the EAA’s monthly pancake breakfast. By helping
cook, serve food, and clean. We had the opportunity to make important industry connections,
learn about antique and experimental aircraft and give back to the Aviation community.

Veterans Club

Service Description: Our club committed to helping feed the homeless in hopes to find veterans
in need of resources. For this term the program worked well; each veteran picked a location that
was convenient to where they lived. In the future we are planning to do one bigger event as a
group.

Service Description: Help care for and treat injured birds, reptiles, and wildlife. Help take
adults and children on tours of the trails around the Audubon Society of Portland, teaching them
about wildlife and plants. To learn how to deter wildlife from potentially damaged property.

Service Description: Pixie Project; helped to wrap surgical packs to be prepared for spay/neuter
surgeries.

Service Description: Helped the Indigo Rescue care for the animals by clipping goat and alpaca
hooves, rabbit nails, dusting chickens, and vaccinating goats.
