You are required to:
a- Determine the minimum, maximum, range, mean, and the mode of Pb grades.
b- Calculate the sample variance, the standard deviation and the coefficient of variation
for the given data.
c- Draw the Histogram and probability plot of the Pb grades.

Explain when and why we use the following:
Correlation coefficient – PCA – FA
The data for multivariate analysis should always be examined and tested for
Normality, and Homogeneity of variances.
Why? Give reasons
Explain with sketches two methods to assess the normality of the variables.
4. Use either the Triangle Method or the Polygon method to calculate the average thickness
and the total ore reserve in tons for the region shown in the Figure below. Sampling data
are given in Table (2). Assume that the Tonnage Factor is 0.7
