Justification for action
This pre-requisite change is part of an overall change in the MSE-PD emphasis in
Information, Technology and Libraries as well as a change to the requirements for the 902
renewable license for school librarians. This course will be required near the end of a
student’s graduate program which is reflected in the change in prerequisite. Students must
complete a practicum experience in the schools and the first part of the developmental
portfolio before takng this class. The course’s competencies will be reflected in the final
902 portfolio milestone.
