Senior Researcher, Researcher Work Regulations for Fixed-term Research Staff (Annual Paid Vacation) Article 24 Each Fixed-term Research Staff member shall be entitled to take annual paid vacation during the period from April 1 of each year to March 31 of the following year, with the number of days being determined according to the number of years of continuous service, as stipulated in Appendix 1; however, the annual paid vacation of a Fixed-term Research Staff member whose employment by the Trust starts after the commencement of an academic year shall be as determined according to the month of hiring, as stipulated in Appendix 2. 2 The number of years of continuous service indicated in the preceding Paragraph shall be calculated with the academic year the individual was hired as the first year. 3 The Trust shall grant annual paid vacation on the day(s) designated by the Fixed-term Research Staff member; however, the Trust may change such day(s) if granting of paid vacation on the requested day(s) would interfere with the normal operation of the Trust. 4 If the Fixed-term Research Staff member’s contract is renewed, any unused portions of the annual paid vacation stipulated in Paragraph 1 may be carried forward to the following academic year only. In such cases, the Trust shall grant annual paid vacation first from the portion that was carried forward, unless otherwise requested by the Fixed-term Research Staff member. 5 Annual paid vacation shall be calculated in units of one (1) day.
