Notes from the April 6, 2012 meeting
with Provost Andrew Rogerson.
(SSU ERFA Executive Committee – not approved)
AR: emphasis on “collaboration” and promoting undergraduate scholarship.*
John P: raised issue of ERFA working with emeritus dinner.
Discussion of a possible big spring reception, with wine and cheese, for everyone retiring, and a
fall emeritus dinner.
We need a website and a home, and we include retired staff…
AR: tends towards University Affairs.
? Spring reception this year?
AR: For now Michelle will be our contact.
AR will look into a wine and cheese, University resources, President, at Prelude…
AR: Our meeting space the Faculty Room in the Library on the ground floor.
Susan Kashack: work on content for website, we have templates. Not sure Univ. Affairs a good
site, (people) wouldn’t know to look there.
John invited and AR accepted to come and talk to us next year, probably Spring (John), probably
Fall (Sally).
We could help bring in out-of-state students.
*discussion, but no notes taken, of small grants to faculty to spend on students involved in
research/scholarship – good way to involve small donors
Judith Hunt
