Mr. Javaheripour has more than 23 years of experience in administration, finances, human resources and information technology at the University of New Mexico. He most recently worked as the director of business operations at the UNM Gallup campus where he oversaw the budget, financial reports, human resources and accounting. Mr. Javaheripour previously directed media technology services at the UNM Albuquerque campus, a department where he began working in 1981. He also taught classes in educational technology and education at UNM. He has a master’s degree in business administration and is set to complete his dissertation for a doctoral degree in educational leadership in May 2005. “I am excited about joining the SFCC team to serve the students, faculty and staff. I especially look forward to working on the Welcome Center Project, which will improve the administrative services to the student body at Santa Fe Community College,” Mr. Javaheripour said. The college’s new Welcome Center eliminates the unnecessary waiting time at different offices to accomplish these tasks. SFCC will be among a handful community colleges in the United States that provide this type of convenient service to their students. At SFCC, Javaheripour will be responsible for the administrative services staff, including admissions, student financial aid, student employment, cashiering, registrations, student records, business operations, office of information technology, general services, auxiliary services, human resources, payroll, employee benefits, fixed assets, purchasing, plant operations and maintenance, safety and security services, new construction, and renewal and replacement of campus facilities and grounds.
