Mellon Foundation recently awarded CRL funding to expand analysis and planning of print archiving and digitization of print journals and newspapers. Two year project to: •Collect and analyze granular data on archiving and digitization effforts •Analyze scope and benefits of major shared print archives •Identify the aggregate gaps, strengths and weaknesses of archiving efforts •Promote coordinated, strategic action by libraries and consortia •Convene forum in June 2015 to consider the implications and identify needs and priorities for further archive development and expansion.
