Notice is hereby given that the Associated Student Government (ASG) of Los Angeles City College will convene their Senate Meeting at the place and time listed
above. The starting and ending times are approximate. This meeting is to be called under the authority of the California Government Code Section 54956. The
Board invites public testimony in conjunction with each item of business after formal discussion. The agenda is as follows:

Approval of Minutes Berry motioned to approve the minutes, Bantog seconded the motion. No corrections, no objections.
Public Forum
This time is reserved for members of the public to address the Board on issues not already appearing on the agenda. Each member will be limited to
a total of Three (3) minutes. (Limited to 20 minutes)
- Jim DeSantiago:Members of the ASG board are not visible and well known enough throughout the campus.
-Quinn: Utilize the resources of the Cinema and TV club.
Reports (Each member will be limited to a total of Five (5) minutes)
A. President’s Report Discussed the building funds, with college President. Performer Series has gone well thus far. Be active in helping
preparations for Halloween Event. Intramural in on track for spring semester.
B. Officer Reports/Committee Reports Henry: Sip-N-See event went really well especially thanks to Support Staff and from ASG office
members. Berry: Support Staff has been running smoothly. Security issues are being reported throughout the school. Foundation has photo
center where ASG officer photos can be placed. Hossaeini: Club Rush is October 14th-15th. Thirty clubs have been chartered. First club council
meeting is October 21st from 12-2PM. Clubs are seeking participation in the Halloween Event. Gabriel: Sanitation has improved on the first
and second floor of the Student Union Building. Health Fair event on November 19th. Oscar: EPIC is having research done on academic
departments. Everyone is doing a great job on campus. Grissom: LGBT scholarship is being given out in the Spring semester. Possible
Transgender mixer during the week of November 20th.
C. Advisor’s Report The retreat served its purpose and had its impact. Next Friday will be mandatory Parliamentary procedures. Charges to
Alen’s credit card will become limited. Principal’s Breakfast was a success. Henry motioned to recess for 10 minutes, Oscar seconded the

Bylaws
Building Fund Fee Woodert: Before a forum is proposed, everyone must be on the same page. If the fee is passed students will pay a
mandatory fee. Money would be allocated to the construction of a cafeteria in the Student Union building and improvement of the computer
lab. Fees would apply to all students and possibly occur during winter and summer intersession.
Halloween Event Shakhbazyan: There have been a lot of zombie volunteers.

$1000 LGBTQ Mixer Did not pass the Finance Committee
$300 Finance Committee Food Harvey motioned to approve the action drawing funds from Senate Discretionary account #, Grissom
seconded the motion. Harvey: Helps improve hospitality within the meetings. Money provided would go to the whole semester. Motion passes
unanimously.
C. Reallocation of $351 From Senate Discretionary to Executive Discretionary Harvey motioned to reallocate $351 from Senate Discretionary
to Executive Discretionary, seconded by Grissom. Money would be used to allow funds to be spent in the event of an emergency. Motion
passes unanimously.
D. $81.46 for Forever Jung Psych Club movie night Did not pass the Finance committee.
E. $500 for Club Rush Harvey motioned to approve $500 for Club rush from account, seconded by Hossaeini. Money will be spent on food,
giveaways, and a dunk tank. Layout will be done just like Fall Welcome Week. Motion passes unanimously.
F. $300 For LACCD Leadership Training Conference Harvey motioned to approve the $300 for LACCD Leadership Training Conference,
seconded by Grissom.
G. $400 for CCCSAA Conference Additional $50 because we were unable to receive “early bird” deal. California Community College Student
Affairs Association to improve personal development as leaders.

ADJOURNMENT Harvey motioned to adjourn the meeting. Harvey, Hossaeini, Oscar, Grissom, and Berry objected the motion. Motion failed. Harvey motioned to
reopen the public forum, seconded by Berry. Harvey motions to adjourn the meeting at 5:05PM, seconded by Hossaeini. Motion failed. Oscar motioned to adjourn the
meeting at 5:08PM, seconded by Hossaeini. No objections, motion passes unanimously.
