WHAT THEY ARE DOING
AND WHERE THEY ARE GOING:
The SUM Times asked each senior to write a little something about what they will be doing when
they graduate. Hopefully, this will give some of the upcoming seniors an idea on what they might like to
do. We'd like to thank all those seniors who contributed to this article and wish you much success and luck
in all your endeavors.












Scott Beatty: I plan on using my Math degree as well as my Naval Science coursework in my
employment with the United States Marine Corps in Quantico, VA. I hope to eventually pursue a
Ph.D. or an M.B.A.
James Copperthwaite: In addition to my math major, I have a minor in Psychology. I am
currently looking for a job and hope to someday coach at the collegiate level.
Peter Del Prete: I will be working at Towers Perrin in Philadelphia as an actuarial associate and
making use of my Math major and Computer Science minor. I am also interested in pursuing
another degree in Finance or possibly going to law school.
Danielle Denkus: I plan on working at Aetna U.S. Healthcare in Middletown Connecticut as an
actuarial student and utilizing my Business and Spanish minors.
Erika Gatchalian: In addition to my Math major, I also have both a Spanish and a Business minor.
I am moving to New York City to pursue a successful career in the business world.
Darnell Greene: I plan to stay at school to complete my Education major and Economics minor. I
would eventually like to become a teacher.
Lindsay Hawke: I plan to use my Math and Honors majors as well as my Business minor as a
volunteer teacher at Nativity Prep Academy in San Diego, CA.
Kevin Lenz: I am still currently looking for employment and would like to find a job as an actuary
or something in a related field which will utilize my math skills.
Maria Lorusso: I would like to use my Math major along with my English minor to find
employment in the field of journalism or technical writing.
Kris Maniscalco: I plan on spending the next year or two volunteering with AmeriCorps and hope
to eventually get a Masters in Education and teach at the high school/secondary level.
Tracy McKillip: I plan to use my Math major and Honors concentration as an actuarial associate at
Towers Perrin in Philadelphia. I would eventually like to pursue an M.B.A. and become a
consultant.
Karen Niwinski: I am currently looking for employment that will make use of both my Math
major and Communications minor. I plan on eventually teaching at the high school level.

Carl Patrizio: I am still looking for employment in the actuarial field and hope to eventually
become a certified actuary.
Caitlin Sullivan: I plan on using my Math major and Economics minor in my employment at The
Village at Duxbury where I will be working in the Operations Management field.
Alicia White: I have been accepted to Villanova's Masters program in Statistics and would like to
find a position in the field of Finance or Statistics.
