Process and Steps: 1. Read the play "Who’s the Most Important" 1. Total class - drama improvise - using body and voice to express the character, saying it’s most important 1. Memorize lines - practice projecting voice, using body 1. Make head/mask out of construction paper for the characters. Need 3 pieces construction paper. Make a thick headband. Make a head piece and mask. Add streamers and tissue paper Head Mask Costume 1. Headband - one piece of construction and 1/2 piece folded several times and stapled. 1. Head piece - one piece construction - think color and symbol of character 1. Mask - 1/2 piece construction paper Materials Needed: 1. Play - script - "Who’s the Most Important?" 1. Construction paper - 3 per child - staples - masking tape Essential Questions: 1 What skills, elements, vocabulary were taught? Improvise, memorize, project your voice, use your body, symbols, color 2. How did you asses the children’s understanding? How students perform? Discuss who’s the most important in the ecosystem 3. Where could you go from here? Perform for many classes 4. Other comments: This is a rather easy science play to learn and perform. The parts are short and easy to remember.
