FAS and the Balanced Scorecard Building a Data-Driven and Strategy-Focused Organization How the BSC Works The Balanced Scorecard asks an organization to view their progress towards achieving their strategy through four perspectives: – People – Processes – Customers – Resources/Regulations How the BSC Works (cont.) • A Strategy Map is created, which identifies objectives within the four perspectives, and shows the cause and effect relationships between those objectives. • Meaningful metrics are developed that measure progress towards achieving the objectives.
