Discussion of CCRC Website http://hilo.hawaii.edu/uhh/congress/CurriculumReviewCom mittee2.php Presentation of updated CCRC website with downloadable (5) documents. Review of website to show the committee all the components that that are now included in the CCRC website. Discussion of items that still need consideration or review. 1. Writing/Goals and Objectives (needs to be updated in website). a. This document was revised to clarify the discrepancies between goals and learning outcomes. b. The language in the document was changed to be more specifically explanatory. 3 4 Review and Approval of CCRC Minutes Discussion of the motion to create a Curriculum Coordinator position Minutes from last meeting approved Draft to date of description: MOTION from the CCRC committee: The CCRC requests that the University create a full-time position for a Curriculum Coordinator who will be responsible for overseeing the development and review of curriculum. This person's responsibilities should include working with Faculty, Department Chairs, Division Chairs and Deans in initiating program design and course proposals, facilitating the use of Curriculum Central and working with the Registrar to smooth course creation, modification, numbering, cross-listing, and cataloging. The Curriculum Coordinator may also work with Department Chairs to schedule classes each semester in order to insure that students have access to the appropriate classes to complete their majors in a timely manner. This draft was revised and approved: 5-0-0 Jean has updated draft and will forward to Congress. 5 Change of Curriculum Approval process Flowchart 6 Next Meeting 1. The CCRC does not recommend making changes to the flowchart to change the diamond of the VCAA to a square. 2. ATP need to be included in flowchart (Presented to Congress but not voted on) 3. New programs voted for recommendation by Congress April 6th, 2011 at 3:00 pm in AUX103
