Project Objectives:
 Provide quality web design, support, and production for NRPC.
 Provide web pages and graphics.
 Provide expertise in Internet technologies.
Project Activities:
 Design web pages and graphics.
 Develop and demonstrate techniques for NPS nature and science web design and
development.
 Evaluate and implement alternative technologies.
 Allow cooperative use of CSU laboratories, computing facilities, libraries, and other
resources as necessary.
 Produce theses, dissertations, and professional papers based on the methods and results.
Project Accomplishments:
 2005 Web Development/ Web Builders Conference
 Assist divisions with easier ways to deliver content via the web
 Commonspot Content Management Training in DC (work with DC on implementation)
 Develop database architecture for “headline”, “feature’ and “did you know” posting to
multiple pages and servers
 Develop method for nature and science to reside on two servers without creating two
pages
 Assist with developing taxonomy for Nature & Science.
 Developing system for Version control
 Developing system to aid in web defacement
 Diversity website
 EQD Do12 website
 Fire Management part of Nature & Science pages - Designed
 Inside Natural Resources conversion to standard look and feel
 Nature & Science conversion from htm template base to cfm includes for ease of
maintenance and streamline architecture revisions
