What to Do

1.

Choose a question—anything that interests your group—and investigate its relationship to some aspect of globalization.

To do this, refresh yourself on the various aspects of globalization as listed in our text

(environment, working conditions, advancement of developing countries, exchange of knowledge and culture, etc.) and choose one of those aspects. a.

Try to avoid vague questions: How can we keep consumerism from affecting the environment? (Whose consumerism? Of what products? From which environment where, and how?)

2.

Once I have approved your topic, find seven sources that together offer a complex but complete answer to your question. a.

Complex – the seven sources should not all say basically the same thing, and they should not be “shallow” sources with little data and easy answers. b.

Complete – together, the sources should satisfy all the issues brought up in your question.

3.

After writing your annotated bibliography summaries, write an introduction essay that explains your question and the most important pieces of information/support you found to answer it. (In other words, your introduction essay is summarizing your summaries.

More boiling down!)
