Tailgating recap, Susan Lawhead
-24 people attended. Everyone had a great time, despite the cold! Definite interest to make a
regular occurrence next year.
NAGPS 2013 National Conference recap, GSG Officers
- Very successful. Lots of networking occurred and officers learned about different marketing,
branding, outreach, and policy approaches.
Graduate-Professional Student Survey, Jason Kordosky
- 380 participants. There will be an ABOR presentation with ASU & UofA about the survey.

Committee updates
Grad Program Review, Michael Cook
- committee compiled a list of published indicators. The educationl psychology and physical
therapy programs are models for indicators—both programs include applicant and admitted
student info. (They have to because they’re accredited).
- focus on data transparency and accessibility
- next step: contact provost and UGC marketing.
ASNAU, Lauren Crane
- There have been several new club approvals
- Tobacco-free NAU is still in debate
- Car share program in the works

Bylaw Amendment F13-1: Committee Restructuring, Jason Kordosky

- Proposal to add amendment to Article 6.3.B allowing non-GSG committee members to vote,
as long as they’ve attended one meeting prior to voting. Susan motions, Rachel seconds.
Motion unanimously passes.
- Proposal to add amendment so ad hoc committees need a simple majority approval vote.
Susan motions, Ali seconds. Motion passes.
- Motion to reword 6.3.A to read “populated by GSG representative and officers” rather than
“filled”. Motion passes.
- Motion to delete second sentence of 6.3.A. Motion passes.
- Bylaws for Article 6 proposal—Susan motions, Beth seconds. 12 approvals, 1 opposition, 0
abstentions. Motion passes.
- Motion to absorb grievance committee into advocacy committee. One abstention. Motion
passes.
