The meeting was opened at 10:40 a.m. by Hong. Minutes of January 17, 2006, were accepted as written. 2. Committee Reports Momi reported on the January Area Council meeting. professional development day and the electric cart parade. The main topic was the April 7 3. Monthly Safety Report The safety topic was how to avoid slips and falls. The document was circulated at this meeting and Pam summarized it. 4. Agenda Development Donna Manno is preparing a flyer to distribute about the April 7 training and cart decorating parade. The event is still evolving. The staff development training is mandatory and the topic is team building. Two sessions will be presented by Dr. Jeff Marsee, to accommodate all classified employees. The session will probably be scheduled from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1:00-4:00 p.m. There will be an afternoon barbecue. Approximately 20 electric carts will be available for teams or divisions to decorate, and undecorate, at the end of the day. Teams will need to select a theme, plan and gather materials prior to the event. Only about one hour will be allocated to the cart decoration. A discussion ensued about some of the prior year encumbrances that rolled forward at the 200405 closing. This affects the ability to pay invoices since the “budget switch” is activated. Janice and Hiep are communicating with Denise of the Datatel staff. Tomorrow morning Rocky and some of his staff are meeting with some of the Fiscal Services staff to look at solutions. Delores is recovering well. Her return date is tentatively March 6. 5. Agenda Development for March 20, 2006 Celia will chair the meeting. 6. Close Meeting The meeting closed at 11:00 a.m.
