Your reading homework each week is to read for 100 minutes. The assignment is to read for a minimum of 20 minutes each evening for a total of 100 minutes each week. Students may read their library books, a newspaper, or even a magazine. To increase the instructional value of this assignment, a parent or guardian should listen to the child retell the events or facts read. If the child does not read that night, record a 0 for minutes read and try to make it up the next evening. Be sure to record every minute you read and take advantage of every opportunity to read! Remember your total must equal at least 100 minutes for each week to get full credit on the assignment. You will turn in your reading log every Friday for a grade. You will only receive credit for the days you completed the assigned question.
