OPENING REMARKS FOR SOCIALIZATION NIGHT Our transformative University President, Dr. Urdujah G. Alvarado and other university officials present. Our dynamic Campus Executive Officer, Dr. Theresa B. Dimalanta and other campus officials present. Our beloved College Dean, Dean Dorina D. Sabatin, and the faculty, staff and students of the College of Allied Health Sciences. Participants, representatives and facilitators from the four clusters. Ladies and gentlemen, good evening! You came, you saw and you conquered! You unleashed the full fury of your physical prowess and endurance to participate and actively engage in the sporting events! We saw your smiles, your laughter, your eagerness to match wits with your peers in the various academic and sporting competitions! As if the waters of a dam, long withheld, were suddenly released with great force. For two years, we endured the catastrophic effects of a global COVID pandemic. But now, we have returned to a semblance of normality. And what a two-day run it has been for the students in the four clusters assembled here this evening! We are witnessing the full showcase of talents from the students of the College of Allied Health Sciences, one of the flagship colleges in the entire university. But, there is more to come. I welcome you all this evening for the concluding and much-awaited stage of the College Days, which is the socialization night. While doing that, I take this opportunity to praise the efforts of our student leaders who have made these College Days a resounding success. We recognize the efforts of the CAHS Student Council as the facilitators of these events. Congratulations for a job well done! Concomitant with this, we also recognize and appreciate the efforts of the Likha Pahinarya, our college student publication, with their excellent coverage of these events. Congratulations, too! Our theme for these CAHS days revolve around mythology, fantasy and archetypal lore. These domains have been resurgent for the past years. We see mythology all around us, even in television shows like Maria Clarra and Ibarra, which is the talk of the town for television viewers nationwide lately. Even the international audience has been enraptured by Filipino mythological themes. This can only mean that people around the world are becoming more aware of the power of metaphor to change lives. Thus, we faculty totally understand why our students chose Genshin Impact as a theme, unleashing the power of the imagination to celebrate camaraderie here in our college. To our students who participated, we would like to recognize you also and appreciate your efforts. Your parents must be so proud of you. We are very proud of you also, and know that we always appreciate those who are giving extra time and effort in the activities of our beloved college. Once again, I welcome each and everyone of you to this Socialization Night. May we enjoy the festivities of the evening with love, friendship, camaraderie and good spirits! Thank you!
