Tic-Tac-Toe Reading Assignment- 2nd 9 Weeks
On Wednesday, December 16, 2015 a book report assignment is due. Absolutely no late work will be accepted. Book
checks will be on Monday, October 26th. Remember that your book choice needs to be a book on your reading level and
may NOT be a movie and MUST be a NEW read. Books need to be read as an individual and not a class novel. Manga and
other graphic novels count for half pages since they are mostly pictures.
This is the regular grading scale for the assignment:
PRE-AP Grading Scale:
225-250 pages – A
250-300 pages-- A
200-224pages – B
249- 225 pages-- B
175-199 pages – C
200-224 pages-- C
125--174pages – D
150-199 pages-- D
124 or less pages – F
149- or less pages-- F
All of the pages DO NOT have to be from one book. You can read one 250 page book or three 100 page books or any combination.
Every 50 pages over 250 will earn you one extra point.
Required: Complete three squares in a row- horizontal, vertical, or diagonal. You will turn this paper back in with all of your projects,
SO DON’T LOSE IT! The grading rubric is on the back. Highlight your pattern on both sides of this paper. If you thoroughly and
accurately complete additional squares, you will receive extra credit points. You may complete up to all nine squares.
