Call to Order
President Ana Safazada called the meeting to order at 12:04pm and welcomed everyone.
Quorum was established.

Approval of I.C.C. Minutes
A. Meeting on September 9, 2009
Correction: in the heading, the date of the meeting should be changed to September 9,
2009 (from September 2, 2009).
Motion made by the South Pacific Islanders Club to approve the minutes of
September 9, 2009 with the correction. Seconded by the Psychology Club. Motion
passed.

 Monday and Tuesday - averaging 26-29 students per day
 Clubs are recruiting lots of students
 Carnival theme - liked what he saw - will be bigger and better in spring

a. Vacancies on the cabinet
 Historian, Secretary, Activities Commissioner & Publicity Commissioner
 Attend a cabinet meeting and contact Ana if you’re interested
3. Review Board Commissioner - Kirstin Nguyen
a. American Red Cross Club
 Reviewed their constitution and suggested revisions
 Club will hopefully be ready to be approved at the next meeting
VI.
Business Items
A. Finance Item – Brandon Davis
1. South Pacific Islander Club request for funds was presented. The club was
approved on May 27, 2009 which was the last I.C.C. meeting of the Spring
semester. Clarification was given that new clubs are eligible to receive new club
support funding during the semester of their approval or the next semester.
Motion made by the I.C.C. A.S.O. Rep to approve $50 from I.C.C. New Club
Support Account #836508 to be transferred to the South Pacific Islanders Club
account. Second by A.G.S. Motion passed.
VII. Information Items
A. Club Mixer
1. Invitation fliers were distributed
2. Friday, September 25th - 12pm-2pm
3. Theme is “End of Summer Bash”
4. Invited are 3 reps from each club: I.C.C. rep, club president and 1 new member other members can attend if these students can’t
5. RSVP (how many members) by Sept. 21st - email Ana or Chris
6. Volunteers are needed beginning at 9am on Friday to set up
B. Bloodmobile - Brandon Davis and Kirstin Nguyen
1. Copy of the blood drive flier was distributed
2. Location is Activities Center West Lounge and the dates are:
 Tuesday, October 13 from 9am-3pm
 Wednesday, October 14 from 9am-8pm
 Thursday, October 15 from 9am-3pm
3. Sign up online at www.givelife.org to make an appointment to donate
4. Volunteers will also be needed
5. Goal for the drive is 360 units of blood
6. Kim Davis our Red Cross representative will be giving a presentation to the clubs at
the next I.C.C. meeting.

C. Homecoming Discussion
1. Location of dance
a. There is no suitable room on campus because Cafeteria is under construction
and the Act. Center East Lounge is temporary location of the Bookstore.
b. Last week Alpine Village was suggested, but it is not available
c. Suggestion to have the event at a roller skating rink with a dj - “retro”
2. Spirit Week activities
a. Last year had UCLA vs USC Day
b. Pep rally on Tuesday
c. Football game on Friday, November 7th
d. Homecoming queen and king elections - clubs will sponsor candidates
VIII. Next I.C.C. Meetings
A. Cabinet and Finance Committee Meeting – Monday, Sept. 21, 2009 at 12pm in the
I.C.C. Office. Club budget requests for approval at the September 23rd I.C.C. meeting
are due on Friday, September 18th (see ICC Club Budget Request Procedures).
B. General Meeting – Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 12pm in Activities Center West
Conference Room.

Open Discussion
A. Brandon Davis – Heal the Bay will be cleaning up beaches this Saturday. Sign up at
healthebay.org

Motion to adjourn was made by South Pacific Islanders Club. Second by Psychology
Club. Motion passed.
