Approval of Cabinet Appointments – Ana Safazada 1. The President appointed Mark Tomaier as I.C.C. Historian. Mark described his qualifications. Motion made by I.C.C. Senate Rep to approve the appointment of Mark Tomaier as I.C.C. Historian. Second by Pacific Islanders Club. Motion passed. 2. The President appointed Sabeen Jafri as I.C.C. Secretary. Sabeen described her qualifications. Motion made by I.C.C. Senate Rep to approve the appointment of Sabeen Jafri as I.C.C. Secretary. Second by College Republicans Club. Motion passed. B. Approval of New Club – Kirstin Nguyen 1. Scene One – Madison Hedgecock said that the proposed club would like to make a movie and enter it into a short film contest and would like help from other clubs. Motion made by M.S.A. to approve the activation of the new club Scene One. Second by the Psychology Club. Motion passed. C. Approval of Finance Committee Recommendations – none were presented D. Approval of I.C.C. Fundraising Activity – none were presented VII. Information Items A. Bloodmobile - Kirstin Nguyen and Chris Pham 1. All donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment to donate blood at www.givelife.org and use the SPONSOR CODE: ECC. 2. Following are numbers of appointments made so far from the e-donor website: Tuesday, October 13 from 9am-3pm - appt slots: 152, appts: 87, goal: 90 Wednesday, October 14 from 9am-8pm - slots: 296, appts: 65 goal:180 Thursday, October 15 from 9am-3pm - slots: 152, appts: 30, goal: 90 3. I.C.C. needs volunteers from clubs to help recruit donors on Library Lawn and Library using laptops. 4. Discussion: can non-ecc students donate blood? Chris said “yes” B. Homecoming Activities - Ana Safazada Motion made by Psychology Club to have a change of information regarding the queen and king candidates sponsored by clubs and Student Senate. Second by the M.S.A. Motion passed. 1. Spirit Week – November 2-7, 2009 Monday 11/2 is “Wear your ECC School Colors Day” Tuesday 11/3 is “Disco Fever Day” Wednesday 11/4 is “Nerd Day” - competition at the I.C.C. meeting Thursday 11/5 is USC vs. UCLA Day - dress up in school colors 2. Club Banner Contest – there will be 2 club winners for best theme and best overall banner 3. Halftime Activities at ECC football game vs. Citrus College – game at 6:00pm in Murdock Stadium. Parade at 7:30pm with classic cars and showcasing of queen and king candidates. 4. Disco Fever Night – VIP only for clubs and ASO no outsiders – RSVP based. More info at next meeting. King and Queen will be announced at this event. Event from 9pm-12am. 5. October 22nd last day to submit homecoming queen and king apps. 6. Club requested sending homecoming packet information by email – yes, will do. C. Children’s Holiday Party – Chris Pham 1. Chris Pham and Preena Chand will chair this event. I.C.C. will host a party for Headstart pre-school children from low income families. Gifts, decorating act. Center. Page 3 of 4 2. Would like clubs to be involved by hosting a booth with activities such as decorating cards, etc. VIII. Next I.C.C. Meetings A. Cabinet and Finance Committee Meeting – Monday, Oct. 12, 2009 at 11:45am in the I.C.C. Office. Club budget requests are due on Friday, October 9th for items to be approved at the next I.C.C. meeting. (See ICC Club Budget Request Procedures). B. General Meeting – Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at 12pm – due to bloodmobile in Activities Center, the I.C.C. meeting will be in a different location: Library Room 202. IX. Open Discussion - none X.
