Other Announcements o No other announcements V. Reports A. Bloodmobile- Kirsten Nguyen (I.C.C. Review Board Commissioner) and Chris Pham (I.C.C. Vice- President) 1. Kirsten reported that of the goal of 360 pints, 297 was reached, and thanked volunteers and donors. 2. Chris Pham thanked everyone in participating and helping to save lives. 3. Feedback: Points gained in Bloodmobile still being tallied. Clubs responded by saying it was a great experience and thanks to those volunteers who came out and recruited by going out to classes in the rain. Page 3 of 5 B. Student Leadership Conference in Sacramento sponsored by California Community College Student Affairs Association (CCCSAA)- Ana Safazada, Chris Pham, Philip Stokes, Kirstin Nguyen: 1. Philip said that the purpose of the conference was to learn to be better leaders, and the whole trip was very rewarding. He attended workshops such as conflict management, efficient communication, and team building. Overall the trip was a success. 2. Chris said thanks to everyone, because they were able to go on the fees the students provided. He attended workshops, social media and tinkering with teamwork. He said it was a great experience. 3. Kirsten said she learned a lot and learned by attending How to be a better leader and How to solve conflicts, and thanked students. 4. Ana said thank you to the clubs on the behalf of the ICC Cabinet members that attended, and that they hope to be the best leaders that they can. C. Officer Reports 1. Philip Stokes (I.C.C. Senate Rep) a) There was a cabinet meeting yesterday. Reviewing candidates for Commissioner of Finance. A.S.O. general meeting tomorrow. 2. Kirstin Nguyen (I.C.C. Review Board Commissioner) a) Hong Kong Society, Come Together, and Italian Clubs are still pending VI. Business Items A. Approval of New Clubs- Kirstin Nguyen 1. No clubs to be approved B. Approval of Finance Committee Recommendations 1. Scene One Club Request – Approval of $50 from I.C.C. New Club Support Account #836508 to be transferred to the Scene One Club account. The club was approved October 7, 2009. Motion made by A.G.S. to approve $50 from I.C.C. New Club Support Account #836508 to be transferred to the Scene One Club account. Second by College Republicans. Motion passes. 2. American Red Cross Club Request – Approval of $50 from I.C.C. New Club Support Account #836508 to be transferred to the American Red Cross Club account. Second by Scene One Club. Motion passes. VII. Information Items A. Homecoming Activities - Ana Safazada. 1. Spirit Week – November 2-7, 2009 Monday 11/2 is “Wear your ECC School Colors Day” Tuesday 11/3 is “Disco Fever Day” Wednesday 11/4 is “Nerd Day” - competition at the I.C.C. meeting Thursday 11/5 is USC vs. UCLA Day - dress up in school colors 2. Club Banner Contest – there will be 2 club winners for best theme and best overall banner 3. Halftime Activities at ECC football game vs. Citrus College – game at 6:00pm in Murdock Stadium. Parade at 7:30pm with classic cars and showcasing of queen and king candidates. 4. Disco Fever Night – VIP only for clubs and ASO no outsiders – RSVP based, reserved for 6 members per club. Clubs need to provide exact names of members attending and their ECC ID #. King and Queen will be announced at this event. Event from 9pm-12am. Last day to RSVP is Oct. 31st at icc.cabinet@gmail.com. Nov. 3-4th, 10am-2pm and 4-6pm voting for King and Queen candidates. 8. Club received homecoming packet information by email. 9. Philip Stokes already spoke to cheerleaders and athletic coaches, and is publicizing Homecoming in the Union. VIII. Next I.C.C. Meetings A. Cabinet and Finance Committee Meeting – Monday, Oct. 26, 2009 at 11:45am in the I.C.C. Office. Club budget requests are due on Friday, October 23th for items to be approved at the next I.C.C. meeting. (See ICC Club Budget Request Procedures). B.
