Call to Order
President Ana Safazada called the meeting to order at 12:04pm and welcomed everyone. Quorum
was established.

Motion made by A.G.S. to approve the minutes of October 7, 2009 as corrected.

o Spoke about various centers Salvation Army is involved with

o Need ECC volunteers to collect donations for the needy
o Volunteers needed to bell ring for donations in groups from Nov 20th – Dec 24th, Mon –
Sat.
o Musical talent or singing ability useful for getting donations.
o Money to go to poor communities in Torrance and Redondo
2. Feedback: Janet Lee responded to questions regarding locations, group sizes, and shift
lengths: To take place in front of malls and grocery stores. Takes place between 11am7pm. Groups should range between 2 to 3 people, as not to intimidate people. One group
should cover a 4-hour shift.

Business Items
A. Approval of New Clubs- Kirstin Nguyen
1. Come Together Club – Jessica Rodriquez and Elizabeth Wood said that the purpose of the
club is to help the needy by having toy and can drives and working with the salvation
army, and just in general to help out.
Motion made by Psychology Club to approve the activation of the new club Come Together. Second by
the A.G.S.. Motion passed.

 Monday 11/2 is “Wear your ECC School Colors Day”
 Tuesday 11/3 is “Disco Fever Day”
 Wednesday 11/4 is “Nerd Day” - competition at the I.C.C. meeting
 Thursday 11/5 is USC vs. UCLA Day - dress up in school colors
Club Banner Contest – there will be 2 club winners for best theme and best overall banner
Halftime Activities at ECC football game vs. Citrus College – game at 6:00pm in
Murdock Stadium. Parade at 7:30pm with classic cars and showcasing of queen and king
candidates.
Disco Fever Night – VIP only for clubs and ASO no outsiders – RSVP based, reserved for
6 members per club. Clubs need to provide exact names of members attending and their
ECC ID #. King and Queen will be announced at this event. Event from 9pm-12am. Last
day to RSVP is Oct. 31st at icc.cabinet@gmail.com. Dress Code: Disco Fever
One King and Queen candidate per club.
4:30pm October 22nd last day to submit homecoming queen and king apps (found in
homecoming packet)
Nov. 3-4th, 10am-2pm and 4-6pm voting for King and Queen candidates.
Meeting with candidates to go over campaign rules and regulations on Oct. 29th
Discussion: Janice raised issue regarding a club that turned in a King and Queen candidate form
but was unable to get advisor to sign it, should the deadline for entering candidate forms be
extended to 4:30 today, Oct. 28th, for all clubs?
Ana proposed to make a motion to extend candidate entry form deadline to 4:30 Oct. 28, 2009.

Second by Psychology Club. Motion passed.
VIII. Next I.C.C. Meetings
A. Cabinet and Finance Committee Meeting – Monday, Nov. 2, 2009 at 11:45am in the I.C.C.
Office. Club budget requests are due on Friday, October 30th for items to be approved at the
next I.C.C. meeting. (See ICC Club Budget Request Procedures).
B.
General Meeting – Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 12pm in the Activities Center West
Conference Room.
IX. Open Discussion
1. Points gained by volunteers from clubs that volunteered at Bloodmobile still being tallied.
2.STEM Conference on Friday Nov. 20, 2009 from 8:00-1:00pm in Marsee Auditorium – volunteers
needed day before, Nov. 19th to set up and day of, Nov. 20th from 7:00-2:00, might be able to pay
volunteers $8 an hour, see Job Placement Center is interested.
3. Janice reminded everyone that with fundraising that the collected money needs to go directly to
organization, and not through club account. Also that a CDR form needs to be filled out regarding which
organization is getting the donations, and it needs to be a non-profit organization.
4. Ana reminded everyone that there would be a competition the next meeting, which would take place on
Nerd Day. Also that the Red Cross was throwing I.C.C. a pizza party for their efforts in the Bloodmobile.

Motion to adjourn was made by G.S.A.. Second by Rotaract. Motion passed. Meeting was
adjourned at 12:49pm.
