Other Announcements - none V. Reports A. Officer Reports 1. I.C.C. Review Board – Kirsten Nguyen (I.C.C. Review Board Commissioner) a) Reactivation of Wrestling Club o Wrestling Representatives not present, but club has been reactivated b) New Clubs o Jujitsu Club, Italian Club, and Jewish Student Society still pending 2. A.S.O. Student Senate- Philip o Vacant position for Student Trustee, position open for all ECC students o Forming a committee for a Recycling Bin Program o Photos of A.S.O officers on website along with description of A.S.O o Student Services Officer to form committee to put together a book rental facility on campus. 3. I.C.C. Vintage Clothing Sale Fundraisers- Ana Safazada o Vintage Clothing Fundraiser took place in front of the Library Lawn from 10am-5pm o $135 were raised to be placed in the Fundraising Account 4. Homecoming Photo Slideshow at Next Meeting – Mark Tomaier o There will be a Homecoming slideshow at the next I.C.C. General meeting, which will take place in Library 202. 5. Other Officer Reports- none VI. Business Items A. Approval of New Clubs– Kirsten Nguyen 1. Hong Kong Society’s rep, Anthony, spoke a few words regarding his club. The basis of the club is to integrate Hong Kong’s cultural background with Western culture. With the globalizing world the club is for members to know of Hong Kong’s origins and to strengthen bonds with foreign students from Japan. Feedback: The club is open to everyone, since its purpose is to interact different cultures. Motion made by Southern Pacific Islanders Club to approve Hong Kong Society as a new club. Second by the G.S.A. Motion passed. B. I.C.C. “Loathing in Las Vegas” event on April 2, 2010 1. April 2, 2010 date to be approved for “Loathing in Las Vegas” event Motion made by Psychology club to approve April 2, 2010 date for “Loathing in Las Vegas,” second by College Republicans. Motion Passed. VII. Information Items A. I.C.C. Children’s Holiday Party – Chris Pham 1. On December 11, 2009 from 11:30am-1:00pm in the Activities Center West Lounge 2. The party planning committee will meet on Wednesdays from 3-4pm and Chris distributed a sign up sheet for those interested in being on the committee 3. Chris Pham briefly explained that the Holiday Party is put on for preschool children from the Headstart Program, coming from low-income & single parent families 4. Craft Table participation forms were distributed to club members – due on Dec. 2nd 5. Volunteer participation forms were also distributed to club members – due on Dec. 2nd 6. Does ICC provide supplies to clubs- Yes, but the list must be turned in as soon as possible. 7. Any further questions can be taken up by Chris Pham or Brittney Durant. B. “Loathing in Las Vegas”- Chris Pham 1. Event is being planned by cabinet as major spring activity. 2. There will be a light show and casino tables 3. Entrance Fee- There will be a fee for students and a lower fee for ASB holders 4. Age limit- Since no gambling is taking place; it might be open to all age groups. 5. This event needs several committees formed to aid the cabinet with specifics Chris Pham to contact companies for sponsorships Any further questions, please ask Ana Safazada, Chris Pham, or Philip Stokes Feedback: Several ideas were presented, which included, a talent show, Las Vegas themed food, black jack & roulette tables, different types of music, a buffet style food, Las Vegas themed décor, classy dress code, servers serving “mocktails.” VIII. Next I.C.C. Meetings A. Cabinet and Finance Committee Meeting – Monday, Nov. 23, 2009 at 11:45am in the I.C.C. Office. Club budget requests are due on Thursday, Nov. 20th for items to be approved at the next I.C.C. meeting. (See ICC Club Budget Request Procedures). B.
