Call to Order

Meeting called to order at 12:01 pm.

Approval of Agenda

3.1 Item 7.1 removed. Motion to approve amended agenda made by Ivan Alcantar. Seconded by Glafira Carr. Motion passed.

IV.

Approval of Minutes

4.1 Motion made by Sikandar Bangesh. Seconded by DeZhanai Reed. Motion passed.

V.

New Business

5.1 Discussion of the chairs for the Spring events.

5.1.1 The Cabinet/Council will discuss the chairs for Club Rush, Club Mixer, World Tour Festival, Blood Drive and Warrior

Games.

5.1.2 Brittany Hubble announced the spring events and the chairs: Luis & Jonathan-club rush, Gregory & Joy-club mixer,

Jonathan & Brittany-world tour festival, Joy-blood drive, Liliana-warrior games, Brittany & Gregory banquet she also added that the council can offer to help the chairs with their events.

5.2 Approval of Black Student Union as an official club.

5.2.1 The Cabinet/Council will vote to approve the Black Student Union as an official club.

5.2.2 Motion to table made by Duk. P. Chong. Seconded by Angie Taylor. Motion passed.

5.2.3 Cristiano Sanchez explained that Black Student Union aims to provide students with resources that will aid them with academics, networking and gaining information.

5.2.4 Motion to approve made by Dafna Pazos. Seconded by Ivan Alcantar. Motion passed.

5.3 Approval of Geography and Environmental Conservation Club as an official club.

5.3.1 The Cabinet/Council will vote to approve Geography and Environmental Conservation Club as an official club.

5.3.2 Maki explained about the environmentally conscious projects they plan to do and added that some professors are planning to give extra credit for volunteer work she also mentioned a presentation with an ElCo professor about various geographical areas.

5.3.3Motion to approve made by Glafira Carr. Seconded by Willy Corea. Motion passed. Angie Taylor asked Maki what type of activities they do she explained that they plan to have volunteer activities that are liability free.

5.4 Approval of Gain Music Club as an official club.

5.4.1 The Cabinet/Council will vote to approve Gain Music Club as an official club.

5.4.2 Motion to table made by Angie Taylor. Seconded by Ivan Alcantar. Motion passed.

5.4.3 Motion to return to item 5.2 made by Sikandar Bangesh. Seconded by Sweet Hope. Motion passed.

VI.

Old Business

6.1 Discussion of the Children’s Holiday Party.

6.1.1 The Cabinet/Council will discuss what to do instead of the Holiday Party.

6.1.2 Brittany Hubble announced there is no toy drive due to short notice but collectively as a cabinet we will donate extra toys from previous holiday parties.

VII.

Finance Items

7.1 Approval of spending up to $388.15 for ASO from the ICC Leadership Training Account (71-55001-00-836602-

7670).

7.1.1 The Cabinet/Council will vote to approve spending up to $388.15 for ASO’s mid-year retreat from the ICC Leadership

Training Account (71-55001-00-836602-7670).

7.1.2 Brittany Hubble explained that this will help fund. food for the mid-year retreat which is for all the branches within ASO where they will discuss issues within the year and hold workshops. She also added that the account had $500 originally but some was used for coffee and donuts for the ICC Orientation, the remaining amount is $388.15.

7.1.3 Motion made by Duk P. Chong. Seconded by Angie Taylor. Motion passed.

VIII.

Reports

8.1- ICC Member Reports

8.1.1 Brittany Hubble thanked everyone for participation and added that apps. for the review board position are due this Wed. and mentioned that the new cabinet member can help with the chaired events.

8.1.2 Avery Marshall encouraged people to apply for scholarships and tipped that if a blank page appears to open the content in a new tab, Brittany Hubble also added to save transcripts before in the unlikely event that the site crashes.

8.1.3 Jonathan Sharp went through the Club Rush participation form and reminded the council to turn it in before the spring semester starts.

8.1.4 Ivan Alcantar asked if non-club members must be approved to work the station. Brittany Hubble replied no and they can pull out whenever they want.

8.1.5Angie Taylor announced that GSA is looking for a new ICC Rep. and VP so anyone interested should contact her.

8.1.6 Sweet Hope announced there is a Forensic speaker at the next Psychology meeting.

8.1.7Misael Vaie announced that Anthropology club is having a Krispy Kreme fundraiser this week as well as a Ruby’s fundraiser next week.

8.1.8 Gabrielle Da Silva announced Tailor Made Fashion Club is having a CPK fundraiser in Manhattan Plaza to fund the Paris trip they have planned.

Byron Challoner announced the 2 chorale club concerts: Viva Gloria & Ceremony of Chorale and the free Messiah sing-along.

8.1.9 Brandon Marshall announced that the jazz band is performing at the Hagg Recital hall.

8.2- ASO Report

8.2.1 Luis Mendez reported that the student activity fee draft was approved and added that finals madness is hosted in the student activities center and will be open after library hours with snacks and tutors, (tutors are volunteers)

8.3- Finance Report

8.3.1 Jonathan Sharp reported that there is $2430 in the club support account and a pending $260 request and $250 in the new club account.

8.4- ICC Adviser Reports

8.4.1 Breanna von Stein reminded the council about the paperwork that needs to be turned in every semester.

She also announced the opening of the Social Justice Center on Feb. 13 th and described the services available in the center such as a lounge area, documentaries and a library. She mentioned that people interested in working there should email her but they must be in the federal work study program.

8.4.2Ivan Alcantar asked what employees would have to do. Breanna von Stein said they would plan, assist people and collaborate with correspondents from local communities.

8.4.3 Brittany Hubble asked about a deadline Breanna von Stein said she’s looking for 4-5 people and has no deadline but hopes to have people in the center by early January.
