Spelling Words:
No spelling test
this week.
I made a mistake on the
students’ spelling list. I had
them mark out the dates and
place a number on each list.
This way we will not have to
worry about dates being
incorrect.
Teacher News:
It was great to see many of you at the
Kingsgate Carnival Friday. The next big event
coming up in October is our 2nd annual ‘Trick or
Read”. Students may come dressed in their
Halloween costume and hear a fun story by one
of the grade level teachers. There will be four
opportunities to hear a story read aloud. Please
make plans to attend on October 29th.
This week we will be reviewing all of the skills
and concepts in reading and language arts that
we have learned so far. On Friday we will take
the Unit 1 exam.
What are we learning this week?
Homework
Read for 20 minutes
Language Arts: sentences, subjects, predicates, exclamations, statements,
questions, commands
Reading: main idea, details, character, setting, plot, context clues, summary,
problem, solution
Math: place value, addition, subtraction, rounding, estimation
Science/Social Studies- Animal Classification
