Materials Needed:
pumpkins of various sizes, sentences strips, and glue
Suggested Activity: After reading the book, The Littlest Pumpkin, distribute pumpkins to
students. Have them look at the pumpkins. Discuss the physical attributes of the pumpkins
together. Are the pumpkins big, small, skinny, plump, round? Have students order the pumpkins
from smallest to largest. After confirming that the pumpkins are in correct size order, have the
students glue the pumpkins onto the sentence strips.
