El Camino College Associated Students Organization Senate Meeting Minutes 4 December 2008 1:00pm Stadium Room I. Call to Order I. Poste called the meeting to order at 1:05 PM. II. Approval of the Minutes The Minutes were approved as presented. IV. Approval of the Agenda The Agenda was approved with the business items postponed until Dr. Nishime’s presentation of the items. V. New Business 5.1- Bus System Discussion – Dr. Nishime This item was not presented. VI. Old Business 6.1 – Field Trip Policy - Dr. Nishime This item was not presented. VII. Reports 7.1 Member Reports None 7.2 ICC Reports – J. Watanabe The Children’s Holiday Party is tomorrow, December 5th, from 11:30A.M to 1P.M. Ninety-two preschool and kindergarten-aged children from the Page 1 of 2 Inglewood Headstart Program will be coming by bus transportation. Each child will receive a gift from ICC. Only the children from the Headstart Program are permitted to attend. 7.3 Committee Reports 7.3.1 – C. Jones o The Auxiliary Services Board is developing the 2008-2009 budget. The bookstore income by the end of 2009 is expected to make $276,000, the movie tickets $15,000, and the ASB sticker $45,000. 7.3.2 – C. Enemuoh o In the Recruitment Committee Meeting, we decided to plan all of the events for the spring semester. We will meet sometime during the winter. We want to have a seminar with icebreakers and a lunch. We would like to include students in the HTP, FYE, AGS programs and well as Political Science students. We need to talk to the ICC members to get more involvement. 7.4 Adviser Reports – J. Watanabe This is a reminder that all ASO members must complete at least 6 units this semester and have a minimum GPA of 2.0. Make sure to enroll in at least 6 units for the spring (7 units for the Trustee) and buy an ASB sticker. VII. IX. Public Comment on Non-Agenda Items None Adjournment Motion to adjourn. Moved by D.
