WHEREAS, The Wright State University Student government (SG) is a representative
assembly advocating for and representing the students of Wright State
University; and
WHEREAS, As a body, SG encourages and appreciates student involvement in campus
life and governance; and
WHEREAS, Brandon Semler and Maggie McPherson have both shown unprecedented
dedication to involvement and collaboration with SG; and
WHEREAS, Both Brandon and Maggie are students of Wright State University;
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Student Government of Wright State University here
assembled, that:
(1) The Student Government:
a) Commends with gratitude and appreciation the work and presence
of Maggie McPherson on the campus of Wright State University;
b) The Student Government expresses its thanks for the
communication she facilitated between the Student Athlete
Advisory Council and Student government; and
c) The Student Government congratulates her on graduation and
wishes her well in all her future endeavors; and
(2) The Student Government also:
a) Commends with gratitude and appreciation the work and presence
of Brandon Semler on the campus of Wright State University;
b) Expresses its thanks for the role he played in facilitating
communication with students across the campus;
c) Looks forward to working with him – and wishes him well – as the
Editor-in-Chief of The Guardian; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Student Government of Wright State University
here assembled, that:
(1) Maggie McPherson be named Outstanding Member of the Public for
Fall Semester of 2012; and
(2) Brandon Semler be named Outstanding Member of the Public for
Spring Semester of 2013.
