Worksite policies and procedures refer to documented policies and to documented or other directions provided to staff. These include, but are not limited to, ways of managing health and safety, environmental considerations, quality, and production, and must conform to legislation. Examples include standard operating procedures, company health and safety plans, on-site briefings, and supervisor’s instructions. Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Demonstrate knowledge of compliance standards that relate to a wood manufacturing product line. Evidence requirements 1.1 Compliance standards related to a wood manufacturing operation are identified and explained in terms of their main purpose. Range 1.2 evidence of a minimum of three compliance standards is required. Key criteria of compliance standards identified in evidence requirement 1.1 are explained. Range evidence of consequences for one compliance standard is required. Outcome 2 Demonstrate knowledge of Independent Verification Authorities (IVA’s). Evidence requirements 2.1 All IVA’s used at candidate’s own worksite are identified. 2.2 IVA and worksite responsibilities for an area of compliance are explained in accordance with worksite policies and procedures. Outcome 3 Develop an audit process plan for an area of compliance in a wood manufacturing operation in accordance with worksite policies and procedures. Evidence requirements 3.1 An audit process plan is developed to evaluate compliance to a standard. Range a minimum of one standard is required. 3.2 Preparation to carry out the audit process is completed in consultation with stakeholders. 3.3 The audit process is carried out and an area of non-compliance is identified. 3.4 Audit results are analysed and outcomes are communicated to stakeholders. 3.5 The worksite compliance system is modified in consultation with stakeholders. 3.6 Audit process records are managed and compliance system documentation is modified.
