Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Plan and implement turf weed control programmes. Range evidence is required for at least five weeds. Evidence requirements 1.1 Turf weeds are identified and selected for control based on an assessment of the weed population. Range 1.2 Weed control options are evaluated in terms of an integrated weed management approach. Range 1.3 botanical composition, % weed species, % desirable species. at least one of – regulatory, biological, genetic, cultural, physical, chemical. Methods for controlling the weed are selected and implemented taking into account their effect on the environment, turf use, and budget constraints. Evidence requirements 2.1 Effectiveness of the turf weed control programme is evaluated in terms of standard population analysis methodology and enterprise standards. at least one of – botanical composition, % live species, % dead species. Range 2.2 Results of evaluation are used to confirm control programme or to identify necessary changes to programme to achieve effectiveness required. This unit standard is expiring.
