Examples of grants include Tertiary Education Commission funding of industry training and Modern Apprenticeship Programmes, Lotteries Grant, Community Organisation Grant. Grants do not include beneficiary payments, ACC payments or other similar payments to individuals. Grants are typified by payment in return for the delivery of a product or service usually to the community, and which the government agency will monitor, evaluate, and report on.
