How did they Come up with Five Iron
Frenzy for a Name???
• The name comes from a former room mate.
One night, he was afraid that if he went out
he was going to get jumped by a group of
people. He took a golf club with him to
defend himself and he said something about
it being “putter mayhem”. One of the band
members took the club and since it was a
five iron, he said it was “more like five iron
frenzy.” The name just stuck.
