design positions relevant to the production genre; demonstrate
an understanding of the design process; and demonstrate
knowledge of the materials, equipment, and problems

Job titles of personnel on set are identified in terms of contribution to the
production.

Evidence requirements
2.1
Stages of design production are described in terms of the production genre.

budget, storyboarding, design roughs, detailed drawings and
models, specifications, scheduling, commissioning, buying,
camera and continuity testing, art directing, standby, editing,
colour grading, title and graphics.
Needs of other production elements are described in relation to design.

Types and functions of materials and equipment are identified in terms of their
use in design.

sets, graphics, optical and digital video effects.
Design problems are described in terms of their effect on a production.
