Range: 1.2 pests, diseases, physiological disorders. Assessment of environmental factors determines which plant health problems may be generated by the growing environment. Range: temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind, frost, soil type and condition. element 2 Determine strategies for maintenance of plant health in identified conditions. performance criteria 2.1 Action thresholds are determined for each plant health problem identified. 2.2 Knowledge of plant health management techniques is applied to develop a plan for each crop and specimen. 2.3 Plan development includes consideration of non-chemical based procedures and adoption where appropriate. 2.4 Final plan selection is based on assessment of plan options against identified criteria.
