Organisational requirements refer to instructions to staff on policies, procedures, and methodologies which are documented and are available in the workplace. Evidence requirements 1.1 The role and importance of an exhibits officer associated with a Customs investigation is explained. 1.2 The process for maintaining the chain of evidence as exhibits officer is described in accordance with organisational requirements. 1.3 The handling of various classes of exhibits in accordance with organisational requirements is explained. Range includes but is not limited to – computers, cellphones, documents, drugs. Outcome 2 Collect and preserve exhibits gathered during Customs investigative activity. Evidence requirements 2.1 Exhibits found during a Customs operation are recorded, labelled and preserved in accordance with organisational requirements. 2.2 Documentation relating to the recording of exhibits and movements is completed in accordance with organisational requirements. 2.3 Chain of evidence requirements are adhered to in accordance with organisational requirements.
