Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Explain the characteristics of mime performance. Evidence requirements 1.1 Explanation distinguishes the style and contribution of two mime artists. Range 1.2 may include - Marcel Marceau, Etienne de Croux, Charlie Chaplin, Rowan Atkinson. Explanation identifies stylisation of movement, for example, magnification, separation and winding up. Outcome 2 Demonstrate mime skills through presentation of a character. Evidence requirements 2.1 Demonstration presents a range of movements. Range must include but is not limited to - falling, walking, tripping, gesture, leaning, pushing, pulling, climbing. Outcome 3 Present a mimed character within a narrative situation. Range one of - solo, duo, group; narrative must include an obstacle or problem of 5 to 10 minutes duration. Evidence requirements 3.1 Presentation includes creative development of the problem or obstacle. 3.2 Presentation incorporates use of a range of movements and conventions. 3.3 Presentation includes relationship with other characters and props.
