People credited with this standard are able to: determine cleaning agents and products requirements to support cleaning processes; and select cleaning agents and products for purchase to support cleaning processes. Evidence requirements 1.1 Service specifications are determined for cleaning processes. 1.2 Cleaning agents and products needs are determined to meet service specifications. 1.3 The availability of company resources is determined. Range 1.4 budgets, staffing levels, staff experience, staff qualifications. Industry requirements are determined for cost-effectiveness. Range coverage, rate of use, quality of cleaning outcome, waste, packaging, storage, supply lead times, availability of product, sales support services. Evidence requirements 2.1 Cleaning agents and products available from suppliers are compared in terms of meeting requirements. 2.2 Selected cleaning agents and products enable the cost-effective achievement of cleaning service specifications. 2.3 Selected cleaning agents and products are specified by generic type. 2.4 Selected cleaning agents and products are available within company’s resources. 2.5 Selected cleaning agents and products meet company and industry requirements for safety and environmental protection.
