Classification Aviation > Flight Attendants Available grade Achieved Explanatory notes 1 Definitions Enterprise procedures refer to the expected performance required by the enterprise in which credit for this unit standard is being sought. Such performance may be specified in enterprise procedures as indicated in manuals, guidelines, checklists, information bulletins, and Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand (CAA) documentation. Safety and emergency equipment refers to any piece of equipment carried on an aircraft that assists flight attendants to carry out the safety function of their role. 2 Evidence for this unit standard may be obtained in an aircraft and/or a fully operational cabin trainer suitable for all aspects of flight attendant training. Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Demonstrate knowledge of aircraft safety and emergency equipment. Range all safety and emergency equipment applicable to the operator and aircraft type. Evidence requirements 1.1 Equipment is identified and described in terms of its applications and limitations on board an aircraft. Outcome 2 Demonstrate use of aircraft safety and emergency equipment in emergency situations.
