Significant others within a residential care facility refers to residents, family/whānau, and staff. Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Describe the impact of change in support services on the consumer, family/whānau, and/or significant others in a health or disability setting. Evidence requirements 1.1 Factors that influence the type of change are described in terms of the type of service provided to the consumer. Range may include but is not limited to – service delivery model, service setting, consumer supports. 1.2 The impact of change on the service provided to the consumer is described in terms of service delivery outcomes. 1.3 The impact of change on the family/whānau and/or significant others is described in terms of their participation in the support of the consumer. Range may include but is not limited to – decision making, involvement in service delivery, support for delivery of programmes/activities. Outcome 2 Describe the impact and management of change in support services on the support worker in a health or disability setting.
