This unit standard is for people working in an i-SITE Visitor
Information Centre.
People credited with this unit standard are able to: use the iSITE Visitor Information Centre booking system; perform
reconciliation processes on the i-SITE Visitor Information
Centre computer system; and perform audit monitoring on the iSITE Visitor Information Centre computer system.

Evidence for this unit standard must be obtained in an i-SITE Visitor Information
Centre workplace.

Definitions
GST refers to Goods and Services Tax.
i-SITE Visitor Information Centre refers to an operation that is a full or associate
member of Visitor Information Network Incorporated.
i-SITE Visitor Information Centre workplace policies and procedures refer to
documented instructions about workplace expectations. These may include but are
not limited to – customer service delivery, personal presentation, legislation,
organisational structure, business objectives, instruction manuals, membership
standards and requirements.
PLU refers to ’Price Look Up’, an identification number assigned to a product to aid
inventory control.
POS refers to the ’Point of Sale’ function of the i-SITE Visitor Information Centre
Point of Sale system.

Outcomes and evidence requirements
Outcome 1
Use the i-SITE Visitor Information Centre booking system.
Evidence requirements
1.1
Bookings and reservations are made using the i-SITE Visitor Information Centre
booking system in accordance with i-SITE Visitor Information Centre workplace
policies and procedures.
Range
1.2
Client enquiries are answered through the i-SITE Visitor Information Centre
booking system interfaces in accordance with i-SITE Visitor Information Centre
workplace policies and procedures.

1.3
may include but is not limited to – key functionality in ticket screen,
terminology used in ticket tree, searching in ticketing tree, creating
a ticket and collecting payment, saving a ticket for payment at later
date, reprinting a ticket, creating a custom ticket, emailing a ticket,
adding a new operator, finding old or outstanding tickets, refunding
tickets, creating multiple tickets for one client, making bookings
online, collection of statistical information;
evidence of seven bookings and reservations is required.
may include but is not limited to – searching for product(s),
locating key information, matching operators; using the online
booking interface;
evidence of five transactions is required.
Transactions are processed in accordance with i-SITE Visitor Information
Centre workplace policies and procedures.

may include but is not limited to – using POS buttons, using PLU
numbers at POS, multiple items with same PLU, item look up,
exchanging items, finding old sales, reprinting GST receipt,
transaction number function, voiding sales, refunding items,
holding sale, retrieving held sale, payment menu, reprinting last
receipt;
evidence of five transactions is required.

Perform reconciliation processes on the i-SITE Visitor Information Centre computer
system.

Evidence requirements
2.1
Daily cash reconciliation is performed in accordance with i-SITE Visitor
Information Centre workplace policies and procedures.
may include but is not limited to – X & Z off, balancing to ticket list,
reconciliation of ticket list totals to external reservation systems.

Any discrepancies are identified and rectified in accordance with i-SITE Visitor
Information Centre workplace policies and procedures.
may include but is not limited to – analysing report, processing any
remedy required, carrying out steps to avoid booking mismatches.

Any gift voucher and/or ticket for a specific service is issued in accordance with
i-SITE Visitor Information Centre workplace policies and procedures.
includes but is not limited to – open-dated, showing no dollar value
on ticket where voucher is for a set product.

Evidence requirements
3.1
Audit trail reports are produced in accordance with i-SITE Visitor Information
Centre policies and procedures.

applies to those standards.
Requirements for consent to assess and an outline of the moderation system that applies
to this standard are outlined in the Consent and Moderation Requirements (CMR). The
CMR also includes useful information about special requirements for organisations wishing
to develop education and training programmes, such as minimum qualifications for tutors
and assessors, and special resource requirements.
